Sports Mom Gifts | 37 Genius Ideas

Are you looking for some awesome sports mom gifts? No matter the season or the sport, moms and dads make the world go round when it comes to youth sports! Get the sports mom in your life the gift she deserves!

This post is all about 37 Genius Sports Mom Gifts!

I think we can all agree that our kids are the most important people in our lives! We’d do anything for them, including driving them to practices 5 nights a week and sitting at weekend tournaments in the 95 degree heat, pouring rain, and freezing temps, just to watch them enjoy playing their favorite sports.

And I admit, I love watching them play as much as they enjoy doing it. It’s honestly one of my very favorite parts of parenting.

And we all know that there is really no off season anymore! These youth sports span multiple seasons and weather conditions.

So, what better gift idea for the sports mom (or dad or grandparents) in your life to make these youth sporting events more comfortable and enjoyable!

See the list below for the best items! And here are some awesome ways to present them!

#1: Buy the backpack and then pack it with a bunch of stuff on this list!

#2: Most of the items on this list would be great stocking stuffers! Such a great and easy way to fill up a Christmas stocking!

#3: These also make great gifts for grandparents who come to watch all the games!

Sports Mom Gifts : Everyday Items

Backpack

Trust me, you will want and NEED a sturdy and comfortable backpack to carry all the supplies and snacks from your car to the field. If you have little kids who don’t like to walk much or just a TON of stuff, you may even want to bring a wagon to pull it all with!

I love this versatile Adidas one that is unisex, has padded straps, and thick sturdy zippers.

You may also like:

First Aid Kit

Keep the whole first aid kit in your car and a separate pack of band aids in your bag. I PROMISE you that someone on your child’s team will need a bandaid or more nearly everything single game.

Sneakers

If your child plays in tournaments, you will likely be doing a lot of walking. From the car to the field and around the hotels and towns you are staying in if it’s a travel tourny.

Tip: Get a pair in your team’s colors!

Wipes

You’ll need wipes for hands, faces, dirty bleachers, etc. Especially if you have any younger kids with you! Keep a pack in your bag and another one in your car.

Mask

Can’t go anywhere without a mask these days! Get them in your team’s colors from your school, PTA, a friend with a Cricut or buy online!

You may also like:

Hand Sanitizer

You’re gonna want one for your own bag, your car, and your kid’s equipment bag.

HOT ITEM! A must-have and great stocking stuffer idea!

Phone Charger

You will use your phone more than you ever think you will when at your kid’s sports! In the car for directions to the away field, and in between innings or at halftime to check your emails. Your other kids will want to use it to watch YouTube. And your scorekeeper may even use an app to keep track of the game which you can follow on your phone. And some areas may not have WIFI and your battery will be drained fast!

Basically, you can expect your phone to be used A LOT during a long game day or tournament and you’ll want to make sure you still have a battery for the drive home! Get yourself a portable charger for your bag!

Chapstick

Hot, cold, windy, raining- the weather doesn’t matter. You will always need Chapstick at games. Your lips will be dry from the cheering!

Tumbler

Fill it with ice water or a mixed drink, no one will ever know the difference!

Snacks and Water

You’re gonna need more snacks and waters than you ever thought possible! Especially if you have other kids with you. Plus, with Covid, many snack bars are not operating so you will be left hungry and thirsty if you don’t pack your own things. Keep a few snack bags and bottles of water in your backpack and a lot of extras in the car!

Gift Idea #4: Get your sports mom (wife) a stocking full of her favorite chips, gum, bottled juice, and candy.

Sports Mom Gifts : Cold Weather
Sports

Heated Chair

I was recently freezing at my son’s fall ball game at the end of October when I heard another mom talking about her heated chair. My head whipped around so fast to ask her about it that I nearly hurt myself, lol. I immediately texted my husband in the dugout with a link so he could get it for me for Christmas.

(Note: Make sure to buy the power pack too)

You may also like:

Uggs

My feet are always cold in the winter. I wear slipper and heavy socks 24/7 if I’m at home. Uggs are the only shoes that keep my toes warm outside!

Winter Coat

Get the warmest, longest winter coat you can afford! You will be sitting outside for HOURS and not moving so you’re bound to get cold. Especially if it’s windy!

These would make a great gift for your mom too!

Mittens

I prefer mittens over gloves because you can put a little hand warmer packet in them and you’ll actually be able to feel your fingers for the drive home!

Winter Hat

This is the perfect accessory to sport your teams colors or logo while keeping warm. The one I linked above comes in several color options.

Warm Socks

These are a must, even with Uggs. Fuzzy socks and Uggs are the only thing that keep my feet warm outside.

Hand and Feet Warmers

Get these for your mittens! They work! These are also a great stocking stuffer idea for just about anyone! My dad has been getting them for us for every Christmas since I was in high school.

Thermos

Having a hot drink REALLY helps keep you warm and not miserable when the wind and 40 degree temps are bearing down on you in the bleachers.

Sports Mom Gifts : Rainy Weather Sports

Sperry Duck Boots

These are both cute and easy to walk in. I’ve tried the tall rubber rain boots and while they look good, they make my toes cold and are so high that they’re hard to walk in (I’m 5’4).

Golf Umbrella

Get a big umbrella because chances are, your spouse/kids/friends will want to share!

Poncho

These may look kinda silly, but they work! Get one in your teams colors!

Rain Jacket

Rain Jackets are cuter than a poncho and great to have when it’s just light rain. (Use the poncho for heavy rain to protect your legs too.) The one I linked above comes in multiple color options so you can get one that matches your team!

Sports Mom Gifts : Hot Weather Sports

Shade Chair

You’ll love a chair with a built in shade if a tent is too much to carry. My friend has this chair and we call it her Cadillac, haha. This is on my list for next summer’s baseball tournaments!

Pop-Up Tent

A tent is the ultimate way to stay safe from the sun. Just be prepared to share it! I like this one for its easy set-up and extra shade panel on the back.

Sunscreen

You’re gonna need to put sunscreen on throughout the day if you’re at a tournament. I recommend starting with a lotion for the best coverage and then keep the spray kind on hand for touch-ups, especially on your shoulders.

The one I linked above is my favorite because it’s not sticky or greasy like a lot of sprays are.

Bug Spray

Any type of grass field you are on will be full of bugs. If they tend to bother you, be sure to keep some spray in your bag.

Personally, I like to get the kind with Deet because ticks with their nasty Lyme disease are everywhere here. But, I’ve heard the oil and natural ones work well for most bugs too.

Baseball Cap

Baseball caps are great to keep your hair out of your eyes and the sun off your face.

The one I linked above comes in many color options so you can match your team!

A Personal Favorite! I love slides!!!

Slides

If you read my blog on a regular basis, you’ll notice that I put slides in nearly every gift list I do. They are literally the most comfortable shoe ever and will keep you cooler than sneakers on the hot hot days.

Cooling Towel

Get a multi-pack and have a cooling towel for yourself and each of your kids. When you’re on the go, just pour more water on it when it starts to lose effectiveness. They really help to keep you cool!

Fan

A small battery operating fan is nice little gadget to have, both for keeping cool and keeping bugs away. If you have a stroller aged child that will be coming with you to games, this will make a world of difference in keeping them cool, especially if you are trying to get them to nap at the game!

Cooler

A cooler is an absolute must if you are at an all-day tournament in the sun. Get one on wheels with a handle or a backpack kind so it’s easy to carry.

The one I linked above is great because it has wheels and a handle, will hold ice for up to 5 days, and can be used as an extra seat!

Sunglasses

If it’s sunny, you need sunglasses to see the game, you just do. I like aviators but pick whatever kind you love best!

Just For Fun

Shirt

Everyone who attends multiple games a year needs several shirts! Your school or PTA may be selling them as a fundraiser. If so, I recommend buying from them! But, if you are looking for something more general, here are some ideas!

You may also like:

Cricut

If the sports mom in your life is a DIYer, get her a Cricut! There is literally no limit to the amount of things she can personalize! Shirts, sweats, water-bottles, car stickers, etc.

Megaphone

This could be really fun to pump your kids up with! Just don’t heckle anyone!

Pompoms

Up your cheering game for any sports with your pompoms in your teams colors! If you have other kids with you, they will love to use these too!

The ones that I linked above come in many color options so you can get the colors of your team!

Mascot Head

If you want to be EXTRA! Lol

The one I linked is obviously a tiger but just search your home teams mascot in Amazon if you want to do this. It would be pretty funny and the kids would love it!

Fall Family Photos Outfit Inspo

This post is all about Fall Family Photos Outfit Inspo!

Color Palette: Sage / Army Green, Browns, Creams, Blacks

Having family photos taken is both awesome (for the memories) and terrible (because of the prep)!

I seriously dread having to put outfits together for my family of 5. In the end, I’m always glad we did the photos, but the prep is just not fun to me.

To combat that for YOU, I am sharing what my family wore for our photos this year. I selected colors based on a few criteria, which will help you as well!

All Family Images Images In This Post Courtesy Of The Talented Amy Wilson (Pure And White Photography)

(This post may contain affiliate links, which means I’ll receive a small commission if you purchase through my link, at no extra cost to you).

Color Scheme Selection Criteria

  • The stores have the colors available and they are easy to find in that season.
  • The colors will look good with the late fall landscape, (or whenever you are having photos done)
  • You haven’t worn worn these colors for family photos before. (This is optional. You may not care if you’ve worn the same colors before!)
  • The colors will look good with the way you decorate your home, presuming you will be hanging them up.

My Final Color Choice For Our Fall Family Photo Outfit Inspo

I always recommend finding your own outfit first! Read this article for more info on that!

Covid Thanksgiving: How to Celebrate Safely in 2020

Are you looking to celebrate Thanksgiving as safely as possible this year? Me too!

Personally, I love Thanksgiving. It’s a top 3 holiday for me and I do not want my kids to miss out on anything else in this shitshow of a year. Of course, I also don’t want anyone to get Covid!

This article gives my personal suggestions to make Thanksgiving as safe but as normal as possible this year.

While this may be obvious, I want to explicitly state that I am not a doctor or infectious disease expert of any kind. I’m simply a mom who wants her young children to have a special Thanksgiving.

It is up to YOU to decide your level of comfortability with any activities this year. You know what is best for your family. There is inherent risk in anything we do, so it’s up to you to make the best informed decisions for your circumstances.

I hope you find these ideas useful!

Have A Designated “Drop” Area

What I mean by this is to have an area right by your front door (or wherever guests are coming into with a specific and obvious place for them to take their shoes off, hang their coats, stash their purses, etc.) I’d also put a bottle of hand sanitizer there too.

A lot of times, people use their beds as coat storage or let their guests wear shoes in their home, especially if you tend to dress up a little for Thanksgiving dinner.

But, it makes sense this year to have coats hung on a rack, shoes left out front, and purses stashed out of the way. (Did you know that the bottom of purses have more germs than a toilet seat? You DO NOT want someone slinging their bag up on your food prep area!)

And lets not forget that we are taught to sneeze and cough into our elbows. You don’t want Uncle Ned’s jacket with his sneeze germs laying on your bedroom comforter!

READER SUGGESTION: Use plastic bins to keep items separated from other guests.

Tip: Make the drop area cute and festive with a mum, pumpkin, or fall floral arrangement on a little table and put the hand sanitizer in a cute pump dispenser. Get a fall welcome mat.

Here are some things that can help you accomplish the drop area:

Go Disposable

While you may be tempted to use your fancy dinnerware for your Thanksgiving meal, it may be best to save it for next year. The less touching of other people’s forks/spoons/etc, the better. And forgo the cloth napkins as well.

I know, this isn’t the best things for the environment but it will save you TONS of time cleaning up. So even though you are producing more trash, at least you are saving water!

Tip: Don’t forget about the non-dining area. There is nothing grosser than using the same hand towel as someone else after they used the bathroom. They barely rinsed their hands for all we know! Get disposable hand towels for the powder room and have extra tissues and paper towels handy. (I actually recommend this all year round.)

Here are some pretty disposable things to try:

Have Masks Available

If this is something you’d like to ask of your guests, make is festive with fall themed masks.

Tip: Just be sure to order them with plenty of time to ship. Many of the turkey masks are not Prime.

Here are some cute ones you can get online:

Utilize More Seating Options

While its customary for everyone to gather around one big table for Thanksgiving dinner, it could be smart to have a few eating spaces available so that you aren’t elbow to elbow this year.

You can do this with tray tables or some card tables. Just cover them in a cute table cloth and you are good to go!

Here are some pieces to utilize:

Crack The Doors And Windows Or Eat Outside

If you live in a warm enough climate, consider eating outside! It could actually be really fun. Get a tent and some string lights and it would be sooo pretty! You could use a small fireplace for warmth and smore’s too!

If you live in a colder climate, you could probably at least crack some doors and windows for fresh air circulation.

Use These For Some Outdoor Dining Ambience:

If All Else Fails, Have A Zoom Thanksgiving

Maybe you just can’t have a family Thanksgiving in person. It could be because of travel restrictions, a recent exposure or diagnosis, or simply, preferring to be on the safe side.

If this is the case for you, you can still “see” your family and eat together, it will just require some screens. You could stream your video call to a larger screen TV that you can see from your own dinner table. Open concept living space pays off!

If you have the time, you could even deliver a Thanksgiving-to-go meal to your elderly family members that live nearby but can’t attend in person.

Quick Guide: 10 Amazing Gift Ideas for Mom 2020

This post is all about gift ideas for mom 2020!

Today I am sharing what is on my Christmas list so far this year.

With Amazon Prime Day happening this week (as well as Target Deals), Black Friday right around the corner, and Christmas coming before we know it, I think now is as good a time as ever to put this out there!

I can promise that if the woman in your life (even if it’s you!) is like me, (a busy mom of small and active kids) you will find some killer ideas on this list!

This post may contain affiliate links, which means I’ll receive a small commission if you purchase through my link, at no extra cost to you.

Calia by Carrie Underwood White Shorts

I really like these shorts for a few reasons:

– They are white. Personally, we go to a ton of my sons baseball games in the summer and white will keep me cool and match any of the shirts I usually wear.

– The 5 inch inseam of the under shorts. There is nothing I hate more than sitting down and having my legs touching the seat. I think it’s gross and soooo many women’s shorts have a 3 inch inseam or shorter, which makes skin on seat inevitable. The extra few inches here give more coverage.

– We recently purchases an exercise bike and I’ve quickly realized that some short styles work better for riding than others. These shorts would work well!

Expensive but something the whole family would benefit from

Samsung Art TV

I’ve recently seen a few moms that I follow on Instagram with these TVs and it makes their house look sooo good! I love decorating my house and spend a lot of time doing so.

One thing that always bugs me is that no matter how good I make the rest of the rooms look, we always have this giant black TV screen above the fireplace, ruining the aesthetic. And we love TV so getting rid of it all together is definitely not an option!

This TV solves all of my problems! It sits completely flush against the wall, just like a picture frame and when you aren’t watching TV, it actually is a picture!

You can change what art is displayed, making it perfect for every season and holiday!

Our plan is to get this and have the area behind it shiplapped for some extra pretty!

Reebok Legacy Sneakers in White and Gold tones

I just really like the colors and retro felel of these shoes. Personally, I would wear them to walk, ride the exercise bike, at the ballfield, or for running errands. I think these colors make them pretty versatile and still on trend (as far as sneakers go)

White Yeti

This white yeti is just something I saw on Instagram and liked. To feel better on a day to day basis, I am trying to drink more water. This bottle would help with that, especially on hot summer days when it will hold the temp of the cold water.

Fuzzy Socks

I am the biggest baby when it comes to my feet. They have to be warm and comfortable at all times. In the summer, this means I pretty much live in my slides. In the winter, this means fuzzy socks and slippers.

Because I wear and wash them so much, I need to replace them every so often. This particular pack is so cute with these colors. I especially love the striped ones on the far left!

Slides should be on everyone’s Christmas list!

New Slides With Gold

What can I say? I love slides! I’ve had the same Nike pair for YEARS and I have absolutely no plan to get rid of them, they are so good to my feet! I wore them walking around Disney World and they felt so much better than the tennis shoes I wore the day before.

I think now is a good time to add to my slides collection and I just really like the colors of these ones!

New Baseball Hat

In the summer, I am outside a lot, often times without an option for shade. Anyone 25 or older will agree that you want to prevent aging skin as long as possible, especially on your face. That means wearing a hat!

This hat comes in other color combos but I like this one because it would match pretty much anything so you can just keep it in your car and grab it whenever you need it.

Perfect for days at the park, playground, backyard, pool, beach, and ballfield.

White Camo Sweatshirt

Basically, it’s 2020, no one goes anywhere anymore, and you can’t go wrong with any type of comfy loungewear. I don’t usually like camo but something about this one is cute.

Tie Dye Sweatshirt

Like I said above, you can’t go wrong with loungewear. You just can’t! Tye dye is in right now and I’m here for it! There are lots of options out there for tie dye these days, but I liked the colors in this sweatshirt from AE a lot!

Sweatpants with Pockets

You guessed it, more loungewear! I like these ones because:

-They are pretty cute for sweatpants. No logo or anything so they can go with any sweatshirt or T.

-Pockets. Name one time when you haven’t had your cell phone with you. You need a pocket!

This post is all 11 Awesome Thanksgiving 2020 Outfits For You!

For The Casual Thanksgiving Dinner

Long Sleeve Baggy Shirt with a Twist

This shirt is awesome for three reasons: 1. It’s loose which is pretty much a must in my book, especially when you know you will be eating a lot. 2. The twist makes it cute and you can easily pair it with leggings. 3. You can add accessories like a necklace or scarf to dress it up a bit.

Casual Button Up Cardigan with Long Back

I chose this cardigan because of the long back. Pair it with stretchy pants/leggings for maximum comfort and lower half coverage.

Festive Thanksgiving T-shirt

There are lots of options for cute and festive Thanksgiving shirts on Amazon. I chose this one because of the simple design.

A fun idea would be for everyone in the family to wear a cute Thanksgiving T-shirt. You could all match or have a contest and vote on who finds the best one!

Striped Sweater with Pockets

This sweater is the perfect Thanksgiving colors! You could pair it with pretty much anything, including the Gobble Gobble T-shirt above!

For the Slightly Fancier Thanksgiving Dinner

Long Sleeve Floral Dress

This Thanksgiving dress hits all the right criteria. Long sleeve for warmth, loose in the bottom, and beautiful fall colors. You could layer with a long cardigan for added warmth and texture with your look.

Blouse with Cute Sleeves

I like this blouse because even though it is a little fancier, it’s still loose in the front with no buttons. No one wants to be popping a button at dinner, amiright? The sleeves are a cute but simple detail.

Dress that Looks Like a Skirt

This dress (that looks like a skirt) is the perfect combo of style, elegance, comfort, and fashion. It’s high scoop neck and lower hemline is conservative enough to wear to even your most uptight family members houses.

My Favorite Floral Dress Ever

I have this dress in a different fabric (more summery) and it is so cute and comfy! It looks good on any body type. (A few of my friends have borrowed it).

This version of the dress is in such a pretty fabric for fall! If you are browsing Thanksgiving outfit ideas and are unsure of what direction to go in, I’d highly recommend this dress!

Slim Gold Cardigan

This cardigan would look cute with any dress or skirt. I love the gold color for Thanksgiving dinner!

For the Super Casual and Fun Thanksgiving Dinner

Brown Sweatsuit with Stripe Accent

To say I love this brown sweatsuit for Thanksgiving would be an understatement. Maybe because it reminds me of an actual turkey? IDK. But I love it, it looks super warm, cozy, and comfortable, and it is at the top of my personal list for Thanksgiving dinner. (My family knows I always keep it casual!)

Pilgrim Costume

OMG, how awesome is this costume? You would 100% be the hit of Thanksgiving dinner if this is how you showed up to dinner! It’s so funny!

PS: They have a guys version too. If you really want to go all out with your family!
